This information will assist you in planning your visit to the Port Moody WorkBC Centre. We are dedicated to making our services available to people with disabilities and will do our best to assist all visitors with special needs.
Please contact us at 604-917-0286 prior to your visit so that we can make arrangements and ensure your visit is a success.
Building entry points are through the main entrance of the office tower, and the parkade via the elevator. Both of these entrances have automatic door openers.
There is a door buzzer to enter the ESC from the hallway on the sixth floor. The buzzer alerts our staff that you need assistance. In response they will walk over and open the door. Staff will also assist with exiting and provide assistance entering the washroom facilities if needed.
Please note that there is a fully accessible washroom with an automatic door opener on the second floor of the office tower.
There is Braille at the main entrance to the office tower, in the parkade and in the elevators. We can also meet you at an entry point to the building to escort you to the ESC as needed. There is no Braille on the sixth floor (this includes washrooms).
Speech / Hearing
We are familiar with TTY Relay and are able to communicate with individuals who call the ESC using this service. We have one Case Manager who is fluent in American Sign Language. You can request a meeting with this Case Manager if you wish.
Self Service Resource Area
We currently have one wheelchair accessible workstation that is available for clients in the Self Serve Resource Area. We also have one computer that has Dragon Naturally Speaking and Zoom Text available.
We can be creative in our use of space to accommodate your needs. We will work with you to arrange a workspace that is functional and comfortable for everyone. This includes preserving your privacy, the privacy of other clients, and our staff’s ability to complete their work in an efficient and productive manner.
We look forward to serving you in the Port Moody WorkBC Centre!
